Early Drop Off and Extended Day

ICCA Astoria is proud to provide both before and after-school care programs to our families

Before School

We have a Before School program starting at 7:30 am. Children may eat breakfast provided by parent and/or study or read. Your child must be registered for a specific day or days each week. The cost is $3.00 per child per day and payable at the beginning of each week – exact payment only. If your bill is not prepaid, your child will not be able to stay. At 8:00 AM, the children will be released to their classrooms.

Application

After School

  • After-school care is provided from dismissal until 5:45 p.m. school day. On early dismissal days, your child will go directly to The Extended Day Program. All students must be picked up by 5:45 p.m. 
  • The non-refundable registration/supply fee must accompany the Registration Form for the Extended Day Program and return in an envelope marked Extended Day Program. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. 
  • The children will have a snack, do homework, play games, and participate in various other enrichment activities. 
  • All children including PRE-K 3 and PRE-K 4 attending The Extended Day Program will need to bring a snack, drink, and reusable water. Snacks will NOT be provided. 
  • PRE-K 3, PRE-K, and KINDERGARTEN please send a set of clothes labeled with your child’s name in a bag to The Extended Day Program.
  • PRE-K 3 & 4 children must be toilet trained to attend the Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy Extended Day Program. 
  • The homework period will be supervised. Children will be encouraged to complete their assignments. Parents are responsible for checking homework and preparing for exams. 
  • Pick up your children by 5:45 p.m. The pick-up location is at the Gym Doors. Parents will not be permitted inside the school building. Please call the Extended Day Phone Number 347-728-0201 when you arrive at the Gym Door and we will bring your child to you. At this point, you will sign out your child. 
  • Late pick-up fee: $20.00 per child every 10 minutes late after 5:45 p.m. After three (3) late pick-ups, the student will be dismissed from the program. 
  • Children who have behavioral problems will be dismissed from the program after two (2) warnings to the family. 
  • The school office closes at 4:00 p.m. Do not leave messages on the school’s answering machine. To contact The Extended Day Program call (347) 728-0201. 
  • If you need to change from the Weekly to the Daily plan, please let us know in writing as soon as possible. 
  • No Cell Phones, IPads, Tablets, Gameboys, etc. If your child comes to school with a cell phone they must keep it in their bag during The Extended Day Program. If you need to speak to your child while they are with us, please call The Extended Day Program phone, and we will put you in touch with them.
  • Students may bring a quiet game or reading material. 
  • Please label all of your child’s belongings with his/her name. IMMAC is not responsible for any lost items.

Dear Parents,

We are pleased to announce that the Extended Day Program for the upcoming school year is set to begin on Monday, September 18, 2023. This program will be available from dismissal time until 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Extended Day Program is open to all students enrolled in Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy, as well as 3K and PK-4 students. This program offers a blend of productive and enjoyable activities, including homework support, engaging indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting), arts and crafts, and much more. It's a space where students can learn, grow, and have fun together.

To secure your child's spot in the 2023-2024 Extended Day Program, please complete the attached registration form. Please note that a non-refundable registration and supply fee of $100.00 per child or $150.00 per family is required upon registration.  For your convenience, we've outlined the rates for the upcoming school year:

PRE-K 3 / PRE-K 4 STUDENTS:

  • Full-time (five days) weekly cost: $225.00 per student
  • Per-day cost: $50.00 per student
  • 3K and PK-4 students requiring supervision until 3:00 pm: Weekly fee of $50.00

***Please note, 3K and PK-4 students attending the Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy Extended Day Program MUST be toilet trained.

KINDERGARTEN - 8th GRADE STUDENTS:

  • Full-time (five days) weekly cost: $175.00 per student
  • Per-day cost: $40.00 per student
  • Students participating in the Enrichment Program with St. John’s Prep and registered for Extended Day: A $10.00 adjustment per student per class will be offered.

Please be aware that on short weeks, the Extended Day Program fee will be prorated based on the number of days the program is in session. Additionally, please note that the program will not be available on early dismissal days.

All payments should be made through the FACTS system monthly. We kindly request that you do not make cash payments. Families with outstanding balances after thirty days will be contacted for payment. If payment or arrangements are not made, your child will not be allowed to attend the program until the balance is cleared or alternative arrangements have been made with the Extended Day Directors and Principal.

Please make sure to pick up your child by 5:45 pm at the designated pick-up location, which is the Gym Doors. Late pick-ups will incur a $25.00 late fee charge per child for every 10 minutes past 5:45 p.m. If there are three instances of late pick-up, your child will be dismissed from the program.
