Mission and Vision

Mission

Our Mission is to provide every child with a safe and nurturing environment that facilitates a love of learning as well as a love for God, others, and self.

Vision

Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy in Astoria, guided by the educational traditions set forth by the Sisters of St. Francis of Mount Hope in the early years of the school, and primarily for 56 years by the Sisters of the Holy Union of Jesus and Mary, continues to provide a quality elementary education for children from diverse academic, social, cultural and religious backgrounds, fully interweaving Gospel values and Catholic teachings with strong academic programs. Our school offers students a disciplined, nurturing and safe environment where each child is known, valued, treasured and taught by teachers in partnership with the family.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy is committed to providing enriching experiences that challenge children to grow spiritually, intellectually, physically and socially. Our teachers and staff, embracing their role and responsibility as a “sacred trust” given to them by the Church, are deeply committed as professional educators in the faith to create a total environment that contributes to the formation of our children through an emphasis on academic excellence, high expectations, mutual respect, and Christian values.
